After spending 10 years in the newspaper business and four years in the Marine Corps, I decided to go out on my own in 2003. I started Steady Photography as a sports photography business, building off my contacts from the newspaper, but it steadily (no pun intended!) grew into a much more.
Now five years later, we are the official school photographer for Branford and Guilford High School, shoot 15 weddings a year, and still try to find time for sports photography.
My goal is to fill this blog with personal, professional and fun photos...check back often for updates.

My last wedding of the year was on October 23 at Amarante’s Sea Cliff in New Haven CT. In honor of Halloween, the bride and groom put out a candy table for the guests. It was a big hit. Jose, the banquet manager, asked for some of these pictures…I guess it was such a big hit that they are planning on offering it to other couples. The rest of Kerri and Jeff’s wedding is up next.
All senior portraits are important, but this one was a little more important than usual…you see, I have to live with this one!! I have taken many pictures of Brittney through the years, but this was the one time it was all about her…well, her and her horse, Tyler. Here are a few of my favorites….more realistically my favorites that were approved by Brittney. The one I liked the most I was told in no uncertain terms would not be posted anywhere!!!
In honor of the annual Thanksgiving Day Branford vs. East Haven rivalry coming up in a few days, I thought it would be appropriate to post two of my favorite football images from this year. I do many kinds of photography, but I love sports photography. The action photo below is one of my favorites. Now that is a stiff arm!!! Also loved the candid portrait of Branford’s new football coach.
Here it is…Teresa and Eric’s wedding day. The weather didn’t cooperate early, but luckily we caught a break for about 20 minutes at the Owenego (Branford, CT) and we were able to do a few portraits outside. This was one of the most fun groups I have ever worked with. Everyone had a blast, including me.
When I first met with Teresa and Eric they told me (actually more like warned me) that thier wedding was going to be a huge party!! Both of them are Irish and had more than 30 family members flying in from Ireland for the event at the Owenego in Branford, CT. They didn’t lie, but before I post their wedding photos…here are some of the engagement photos that we did at the Supply Pond in Branford. Luckily they are both good sports since the first spot we found for pictures was already occupied…by a very big snake. Needless to say, we all moved pretty quick and found a new spot!!!
I have been absolutely terrible at updating this blog. I always have good intentions, but next thing I know, its been three months since I posted. So I will try again. I spent about two hours yesterday putting together images from the last three months…hopefully there will be a lot of posts in the upcoming weeks. You can expect a bunch of weddings, engagement sessions, family portraits, and a few sports photos mixed in.
I will start out with my nephew Andrew…I finally went through some of my personal pictures the other day and found some fun shots of Andrew who just turned one in August.

Here is a quick preview of Dru and Krissy’s wedding at the Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam CT. It was the first time that have shot a wedding at the Fox Hopyard Golf Club and the scenery was gorgeous…I love shooting on golf courses. More photos to come later.
